Speed Leveling A Combat Rogue – Good Gear Is Essential For Maximum XP/Hour
If you want to optimize your rogue for faster leveling, this rogue gear guide will help you to find the perfect equipment for your character.
Good gear is critical for power leveling because the stats modify your toon and improve your damage and health.
This rogue gear guide will show you the most important stats for rogues, their priority and how they improve your character.
Agility
Agility is the top priority attribute of a rogue because it effects many different aspects at once: Overall damage and armor, crit chance and dodge rating. It goes without saying that you should focus on this stat.
Attack Power
This stat directly adds to your base damage. A rogue gets 1 point of damage per second (DPS) per 14 points of Attack Power. Your off-hand weapon gets half the bonus. Keep in mind that this is the overall damage as each weapon has different attack speed, so the damage is spread accordingly across your attacks.
Hit Rating
As a natural dual-wielding class, rogues suffer from problems hitting the target. This handicap can be decreased by focusing on the Hit Rating to help you hit your target more often. Otherwise you would lose a lot of your damage potential and missing the enemy in a bad moment can be deadly.
Critical Strike Rating
This attribute is self explaining. Note that the points of crit. rating needed to get a +1% crit. hit chance increases with your level. In higher levels you will need much more rating to get the same benefits.
Stamina
Although rogues rely more on their evasive abilities, a few more hitpoints can’t hurt. After all, even with all your skills and abilities, you won’t survive if you are more fragile than a glass cannon. Raid bosses often deal area of effect damage which is deadly if you are low on hitpoints.
