5 Step Leveling Guide For WoW Mages
If you are like me you want to get to the level cap as fast as possible. Haven't we all spent more than enough time on grinding and gathering experience? Do you just want to hit level 80 ASAP and start playing the "real game"? Then my 5 step mage leveling guide is for you.
Step 1: Talent build
There's only one really good mage build: The frost spec. There’s no way around it. Yeah, fire is easier to play but the results are not worth it. To level as quickly as possible I urge you to follow my recommendation and learn to get the most out of your talent spec by utilizing the amazing area of effect spells.
Step 2: Support Your Core Abilities
Why is it really necessary to underline this? The reason for that is that many newbies just use popular recommendations instead of their own experiences. They read on a blog that some glyph is perfect for them. Then they have a useless glyph in their bag since they have no effective advantage. I recommend you to only support spells that you use in most of your combats.
Step 3: Do You Need Good Gear?
I don’t think you need blue items to level fast. Since you play a mage you are not too item dependant. But I still recommend a good green gear that fits the level of your character. A good gear would be green items with the most important stats on them: Stamina and Intellect.
Step 4: How To Gather Experience
Two option are fine for leveling: Dungeon leveling and the traditional solo questing. I think Dungeon leveling is more exciting, but more risky, too. If you happen to have newbies in your party you might end up wasting a lot of precious time.
Step 5: Streamlining Your Questing Path
Confusion is a time sink when it comes to leveling and questing. It's a matter of fact that there are thousands of quests and no one knows for sure which is the best order to accept, complete and turn them in. And which one to ignore. An in-game add-on that comes with a mage leveling guide can eliminate this confusion instantly.
