Paladin Leveling Guide
Paladins are the keepers of Light and have the use of Holy Auras. These Auras are powerful spells that can boost the statistics of not only the Paladin but each person within their group. Because of their immense power; you may only have one Aura active. When describing the greatest attribute of a Paladin, you would have to say they are built for protection. Healing and protecting others (and themselves) is a key aspect to the arsenal of a Paladin.
Being of holy nature, Paladins have a powerful effect on undead creatures. Their holy spells are designed specifically to destroy the legions of undead armies. With the capability of wearing plate armor, Paladins are fierce melee DPS as well as impressive tanks. With all of these aspects it is safe to say that Paladins are one of the strongest (if not the strongest) character type in the game.

This coupled with their two handed weapon ability, gives them great damage, great tanking ability and great healing. Outlasting enemies is the goal of a Paladin. Having a large amount of defensive stats gives them the ability to take large hits and survive.
If you are a raider or a player who does a lot of PvP battles, you will want to seriously consider a Paladin. The wide range of abilities gives them a huge advantage. Sense you have such a wide range of ways to hurt your enemies, finding what works best with what enemy is one of the more challenging aspects of playing a Paladin.
As a healer, you will find that Paladins are more than equipped to heal multiple targets or even just a single target with relative ease. Thus making them one of the strongest healer classes in the game, this is also a key element when leveling your Paladin. With all these abilities at your disposal, you will want to use your leveling time to determine what kind of Paladin you want to create.
Along with their Auras the Paladin can also place blessings on themselves. The use of the blessings is not only for the Paladins, but for others in their party. You can individually enhance the best stats for each person in your group. This wonderful spell, gives the Paladin the ability to literal go player to player and give them one of their blessings. Raids and PvP battles are the place you will use these most often, but sometimes when leveling with another character you will use them too.

The way you use all of these powerful spells is through your mana consumption. A lot of the time you will be dependent on others to help you regenerate your mana because you will consume it so quickly. As you first start out, you will find yourself running out of mana very quickly. As you level you will want to be aware of what spells consume a lot of mana and which ones don't. Without mana you will become very weak, very quickly.
Each of the three talent builds is designed for the three specs that make up being a Paladin. To make it easy here are the talents that are associated with each of the three specs: Holy is for healing, Protection is for tanking and Retribution is for damage. As easy as it is to choose your talent build as a Paladin, it can also be somewhat predictable. Unlike others, you will not have a great deal of variety when it comes to building all of your talents. With other characters you can pick and choose what interests you because you will have several different trees that support your spec.
A lot of players will tell you when you level a Paladin you must use Retribution to help you level, but in fact the Protection talent tree makes leveling much easier. Yes, you will do much more damage when it comes to Retribution, but you will suffer greatly when it comes to mana. With Protection you will find a talent tree that not only gives you great mana regeneration, but also gives you a great defense upgrade. When choosing a character's talent tree you want to play to their strengths, especially when you are leveling.
Many different players have Paladins as characters so you will have plenty of people to help you through any problems you might come across. This hero class will give you plenty of things to master. Whether it is tanking, healing or DPS, you will never get bored with a Paladin. With a small amount of ranged spells and extreme mana consumption your biggest issues, Paladins are extremely over powering. Beyond that the sky is the limit when it comes to the Paladin; this class is a fun and powerful addition to any group.
