What The Corporate World Teaches About Leveling In WoW

Do you love leveling in the new Azeroth? Read my Mage leveling guide if you want to find the fastest way of gathering experience in this new world!

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love the Cataclysm and all the changes. The new quests are exciting and there’s a lot to explore. But I have to think about how exciting the new stuff will be the second and third time I level a new character.

That’s when you will feel like you are just grinding your way up the levels again. But don’t worry - you can still level a lot faster with my favorite mage leveling strategies!

The first step is to throw all the old talent builds overboard. With the new talent trees and mechanics you can’t use any of them to streamline your character. Unfortunately there are still thousands of websites on those old, worthless builds. You have to start to look for new ones.

Here’s my strategy: I go with a talent build that suits my unique style of playing instead of a one-size-fits-all build! There are a lot of high-efficiency builds available, but if you ask me they will drag you down if they don’t suit your playing style.

But my best strategy is this one: Get in the habit of batching. That’s a concept commonly known from the corporate world. Here’s one example: Instead of buying glyphs every now and then get them all at once. Or get all your new gear right now. Batch all these tasks and your inventory will be prepared perfectly in no time. You don’t need to visit the auction house again. Instead of travelling around your items will wait for you ready in your bags.

I recommend you to buy all the green gear you will need on your journey and sort them by levels. Buying blue items costs too much in my opinion. You will die less often if you get a lot of items with stamina on them.

With these 3 steps you will level faster instantly. Hopefully you learned something new from my mage leveling guide. See you when you hit the level cap!

Mage Leveling Guide

As a Mage you will be able to control all of the elements of World of Warcraft. With control over the elemental wonders, you can show great strength with single targets and multiple targets as well. All of their attacks a Mage possesses allow them to do so from a distance and most do damage to large areas in which your targets are in.

They are gifted with the ability to help increase the abilities of the people around them. The abilities don’t stop there; Mages have the power to summon portals to anywhere in Azeroth. These portals can be used by all members of the Mage’s group. They can also create large amounts of food and drink, giving you an ongoing supply of health and mana. Because of these perks, you will often see Mages in raid or PvP groups.

If you are looking for more info on expanding your knowledge on Mages then check out this Mage Leveling Guide.

Many enemies have something that they have a resistance too. With Mages, you have a wide range of elemental abilities, enough in fact to always have something that your enemy does not have a resistance too. This is helpful when you are dealing with multiple types of enemies, from different backgrounds. Never will the Mage find themselves without a spell that will do the most damage possible. Because of these powerful area attacks, Mages are often used in high level raids.

With the use of cloth armor, Mage's protection is nowhere near their overpowering damage. If you can have someone with you to help protect you while you are leveling you will find it a much quicker process.

Both your armor and your weapon will never be used for combat, but they can be very helpful in enhancing your abilities and spells. Sense the base of all your attacks is from spells; you will almost never use your weapon for attack. Because you will never use it in a melee battle, your weapon's abilities are much more important than the damage that it can do.

With only being able to do damage (DPS), Mages have a wonderful opportunity to truly personalize their talent tree. With three trees dealing with three main elements (Frost, Arcane, and Fire), you will have a great deal of choices when spending your talent points. As it stands now, I have not found one talent tree that stands out more than the others. Arcane is a great build if you are looking for a lot of damage when it comes to AoE damage, but if you are looking for damage over time you will want to turn to Fire.

Check out this Mage Leveling Guide for a more detailed look into being a Mage.

If you decide to level using quests you will want to make your talent build in Fire until you get to level 60 and then switch to Frost. But if you decide that you want to use dungeons to level, I suggest using Arcane because it gives you such great area damage.

Even though the Mage can destroy any and all types of characters with so many different types of spells; they have a huge flaw when it comes to their armor.

When looking for a group make sure you have a good deal of characters who have strong plated armor so that they may be able to protect you from attacks. Because leveling is so difficult, many players give up early in the Mage process. Once past the leveling problems you will find that Mages are a great class to play.

With so many different guides out there it is difficult to find the best ones. Visit Best WOW Guides to find the cream of the crop.

5 Step Leveling Guide For WoW Mages

If you are like me you want to get to the level cap as fast as possible. Haven't we all spent more than enough time on grinding and gathering experience? Do you just want to hit level 80 ASAP and start playing the "real game"? Then my 5 step mage leveling guide is for you.

Step 1: Talent build

There's only one really good mage build: The frost spec. There’s no way around it. Yeah, fire is easier to play but the results are not worth it. To level as quickly as possible I urge you to follow my recommendation and learn to get the most out of your talent spec by utilizing the amazing area of effect spells.

Step 2: Support Your Core Abilities

Why is it really necessary to underline this? The reason for that is that many newbies just use popular recommendations instead of their own experiences. They read on a blog that some glyph is perfect for them. Then they have a useless glyph in their bag since they have no effective advantage. I recommend you to only support spells that you use in most of your combats.

Step 3: Do You Need Good Gear?

I don’t think you need blue items to level fast. Since you play a mage you are not too item dependant. But I still recommend a good green gear that fits the level of your character. A good gear would be green items with the most important stats on them: Stamina and Intellect.

Step 4: How To Gather Experience

Two option are fine for leveling: Dungeon leveling and the traditional solo questing. I think Dungeon leveling is more exciting, but more risky, too. If you happen to have newbies in your party you might end up wasting a lot of precious time.

Step 5: Streamlining Your Questing Path

Confusion is a time sink when it comes to leveling and questing. It's a matter of fact that there are thousands of quests and no one knows for sure which is the best order to accept, complete and turn them in. And which one to ignore. An in-game add-on that comes with a mage leveling guide can eliminate this confusion instantly.

How Do You Level Your Mage?

Hi and welcome to my Mage leveling guide. Are you planning to start a new mage in WoW and level it up all the way to level 80? I bet you are already sick of leveling right now. Leveling in WoW does not only take a huge amount of time, it’s also confusing and painful.

You see, once you start a new character you are instantly overwhelmed by huge loads of information: Kill this monster. Talk to that NPC. You can choose between so many quests. But it gets even worse: Because of all the follow-up quests you often run the same way twice and wander around in circles, killing the same kind of mobs more than just once!

But there’s a way to get the job done faster than before.

Your first step is to focus on your strength: As a mage you can easily deal huge AoE damage. To enhance your area of effect damage even more you can use the Frost mage leveling spec and fitting glyphs. I recommend you to choose the Frost talent tree and focus on all talents that actively or passively support your Frost Nova, Blizzard and Cone of Cold.

The next important spec is to get Glyphs to enhance your abilities as soon as possible. The goal is to be ready once the slot is unlocked so you can equip them immediately without traveling back. You will want to make use of them immediately!

Now you already have a good talent build that helps you to actually kill off up to 10 or 12 mobs at the same time. You also have all the necessary glyphs ready. Is there still more?

You need to get your questing path dialed by using an in-game leveling guide for your class. A good leveling guide will always tell you exactly where to go and what to do - it’s the fastest way to level your character from level 1 all the way to the max level!

It’s like having a built-in blueprint with all the exact steps to complete all quests in the game ASAP.

Choosing Your Mage Leveling Guide For World Of Warcraft

Mages in World of Warcraft are tricky to level. They're "mana" users who wear robes which supply really vulnerable armor and they are lacking any melee expertise. They will need to constantly drink to renew their "mana" and they will need to use the proper spells and abilities so they do not die while they are attempting to obliterate creatures. Fortunately you can actually look for guides to enable you to level your mage.

There are many mage leveling guides. Many are very general though others are rather detailed. Basic guides will just inform you of where to level, what location you should select, and where to choose after that. They may well include some things like exactly which dungeons you may go to or the place you'll be able to farm.

In depth guides offer you all of that down to the most basic specifics. They'll find the quest that offers the very best practical experience per time ratio and tell you to focus on that solely. They will also create detailed guides on ways to complete the quest and exactly what to do after you've turned them in.

The distinction between those detailed guides and general guides is actually the cost. General guides are free and you'll be able to get them on the web simply by performing a search. Comprehensive guides are going to cost you cash because of the effort they devote researching as well as the cash they spent on advertising.

Make sure you select a basic mage leveling guide if you're a beginning participant. You shouldn't damage your very first sense of the game by moving through in depth leveling guides. It's best to investigate the entire world, make brand new friends and go through leveling along with them. Exploring the world within World of Warcraft is a part of what tends to make the game a fun and satisfying experience.

In case you wish to level your mage within a shorter time and don't care about anything other than leveling, then it is possible to buy the comprehensive mage leveling guide. You will be sure to level successfully not having to waste time attempting to finish hard quests that eliminate you a few times before you are able to finish it. They'll let you know what talent builds you can go for and what spells you should make use of to level.

You'll be able to also obtain add-ons such as Carbonite to help level your mage. They will have comprehensive maps, GPS, and quest trackers all packed into a single add-on package. These add-ons are commonly appropriate for leveling guides and you can utilize them to accelerate your leveling procedure even more.

Most of the time these mage leveling guides tend not to inform you of the way to level your profession. You would either need to find out on your own how to accomplish it or search for another guide that shows you exactly how.

Mage Leveling Guide

Mages have a multitude of abilities to help them level. Of course other classes get their things aswell, but they’re not as powerful as teleports or the ability to conjure one’s own food and water. On top of that you also get blink to once again travel that extra bit faster. To get into the leveling builds for mages, there is a bit of discussion in that regard. As I played my mage I realized that each tree has their own moments of supremacy. I use 3 different talent builds each covering their own level range to level as easily and fast as possible..

If you’re interested in learning about World of Warcraft you may wish to have a look at my Best WoW Guide Page first. This section covers all the top notch guides I’ve come across for World of Warcraft.

Anyway, let’s get into the builds and the level range you use them in:

10-30 Fire Leveling
Before you get some gear the high damage from fire in general will provide easier leveling. Another good part of fire is that the base range of spells is significantly longer than Frost and Arcane. The key part is also that the early talents all help you a lot, be it give more range or increasing your damage. You also get Pyroblast for those moments where you really want to blow something up.
30-64 Frost Leveling

The change to frost at 30 is very logical. At level 30 you are able to pick up the key talents for Frost Play. These being Ice Shards, Shatter and Frostbite. The summary of what these talents do is that you will crit more and harder, while being able to keep mobs at range. Considering your main nuke, being Frostbolt, casts quite fast and has an added snare in it to slow your target you will be able to cast enough spells before the target reaches you to proc Frostbite and as such get ample chance to get easy critical hits in. If the target does end up reaching you, you’re free to simply frost nova it move a few steps back and blow it up then. Later on you also get Fingers of Frost which causes your next 2 spells to treat the target as frozen. In other words, Fingers of Frost gives you a 15% chance on all your frost spells to cause your next 2 spells to have an increased 50% chance to critically strike. One of my favorite talents is Brain Freeze. As with Fingers of Frost, it gives your spells that apply a slowing effect a 15% chance to give yourself an INSTANT CAST, FREE OF MANA Fireball.
64-80 Arcane Leveling
Are you wondering why you would give up the safety of Frost? At level 64 you obtain Arcane Blast which is a key talent for an arcane build.. If you read your Missile Barrage talent deep down in Arcane you can see it has a 40% chance to proc the effect which basically turns you into a turret when channeling Arcane Missiles. When you first try this build you can open with frost bolt to trigger Torment the Weak. This you will do until 75 when you will instead use Frostfire Bolt. After that you cast Arcane Blast until Missile Barrage is active, after which you can quickly decimate the target with Arcane Missiles. Why do I prefer the dangerous Arcane build over the safety of Frost? That’s very simple, not only will you be killing monsters even quicker than a full Fire build you will have NO MANA PROBLEMS. With Arcane getting Arcane Flows (Tier 8 talent) your evocation will only have a 2 minute cooldown, allowing it to be up before you will need it again. Besides this you also get nifty talents like Slow, Arcane Barrage and the option to make your Invisibility spell instantly fade.

If you’re a mage that likes diversity, changing between these 3 builds will allow you to experience every aspect of the mage in their prime time. This means the high hitting Fire spells, the control of the frost mage and the interactivity of arcane. Even though this gives you a rundown of exactly when to go for certain builds while leveling, you may be wondering how to quickly level up by quests. If so, you should check out my Dugi’s Guide Review. In it you will learn everything about Dugi’s Guide to leveling faster than ever before in World of Warcraft and much more if you’re interested.

Mage Leveling Guide – Leveling A Mage In WoW

Hi and welcome to my mage leveling guide. You want to level a twink 1-80 before the Cataclysm hits Azeroth? Then this articles is exactly what you are searching for. I want to show you the 3 golden rules of leveling a mage in World of Warcraft. Play by those easy rules and you will be able to level a lot faster and easier!

Golden Rule 1 – It's All About Solo Questing

Every WoW player knows that there are countless ways to gather experience. You can visit instances, you can grind and you can complete quests. And you can play alone or in a group with other players.

But there is one method that is far superior when compared to the others. At this moment, completing quests alone, without a party, is the fastest way to level 1-80.

There's a simple reason for that. Questing is more effective than grinding since Blizzard has adjusted the experience received for quests. And instances are always good for loot, but bad for leveling.

Golden Rule 2 – Deep Frost Leveling Build

Now, you need and effective talent build if you want to level really fast. The fire tree focuses on single targets and is easy to play. On the other hand, the frost build focuses on Aroe of Effect damage and is the most efficient spec. Yes, you will need to master it first - but once you do you can easily kill more than 10 mobs at the same time!

Golden Rule 3 – Leveling Guide Add-On

A few WoW players dislike leveling guides and claim they would take the fun out of the game. If you ask for my opinion: They had to spend weeks on boring leveling to get to level 80 and don't want other players to do it in a few days.

Such a leveling guide add-on provides you with information about which quest to do next and where exactly to go. And the most effective order to do it all so you will get the most experience out of every area.

Use A Mage Leveling Guide To Level Faster

{Do you know this kind of situation? You know this situation:} You enter a new area with your WoW Mage and the quests are either too hard or give you too little experience.

You accept them anyway and your quest log is immediately overwhelmed. Once you have accepted them all you have no idea which is the best order to complete them. You just choose one randomly and hope for the best.

You kill a group of mobs to complete the quest, run back to the NPC and some follow up quest wants you to kill the same mobs again. So much time wasted.

And if that wasn’t worse enough, the next quest is harder than the rest, takes more time and what do you get in return? Almost no gold or experience. A junk-quest.

With a Mage leveling guide you can instantly eliminate all these problems and frustrations. It tells you the most efficient, most rewarding order in which you have to complete the quests – directly on your screen.

With a Mage leveling guide you don’t have to think about the order of quests, follow ups or running the same way twice. This way you can finally focus on playing the game while you simple follow the step-by-step instructions of your guide.

The guide even knows which quests are unrewarding and consists only of the most efficient quests that reward you with the highest xp/hour rate.

If you have ever struggled with a quest, had to visit the same area, the same NPC, the same group of mobs again and again and are tired of this frustration, I highly recommend you to take a look at an in-game leveling guide as soon as you can.

After all, there's no reason to waste all of your time on boring leveling when you can enjoy the endgame content with your friends!
