Rogue Leveling In World Of Warcraft
To start with, most of what you focus on when you first start to play World of Warcraft will definitely be the leveling process, that being the ground for terms such as mage leveling and rogue leveling. When you begin, unless you are a Death Knight, you will begin of at level 1 working your way to level 80.
So brace yourself for some great tips!
To level up, you need experience which can be achieved in two main ways:
1. Completing quests
2. Defeating characters which are non players
These are the main actions that will allow you to get experience and when you have a particular figure of points you spring up a level. As your levels increase, your character begins to become more fierce.
Furthermore, you will be able to wear improved equipment such as stronger armour which will aid you.
As with the bulk of players, you will notice you proceed through the 1st levels quickly however then progress slows a lot as your level increases. The beginning 10 levels could be achieved in a few hours where as the higher levels can take days to be obtained.
Nevertheless, you will see that leveling up is not as hard as it seems to be as you will get a hold of the things to do in order to level up quick. You will realise that you acquire a lot of experience from quests, hence it being good with leveling.
Of course, on occasion you'll notice that you've accomplished all the quests in a certain region, and you'll then have to travel to other areas in order to gain more quests. All areas of the game cater for a specific range of level so it is a must that you discover the district that suits your character.
You will need to level up your qualities and spells every couple of levels to make certain you can defeat the higher level monsters. Besides, be sure not to neglect your equipment or you'll face a lot of difficulties later on too!
Now you know the fundamentals you shouldnt have too much problems with the whole process. Just keep at it and in no time at all you'll encounter yourself a fierce level 80 and ready to take on the world's toughest monsters.
If you're ever stuck, you'll notice that there are more than enough resources to aid you on the internet, so don't panic – just discover what you need!
Use A Mage Leveling Guide To Level Faster
{Do you know this kind of situation? You know this situation:} You enter a new area with your WoW Mage and the quests are either too hard or give you too little experience.
You accept them anyway and your quest log is immediately overwhelmed. Once you have accepted them all you have no idea which is the best order to complete them. You just choose one randomly and hope for the best.
You kill a group of mobs to complete the quest, run back to the NPC and some follow up quest wants you to kill the same mobs again. So much time wasted.
And if that wasn’t worse enough, the next quest is harder than the rest, takes more time and what do you get in return? Almost no gold or experience. A junk-quest.
With a Mage leveling guide you can instantly eliminate all these problems and frustrations. It tells you the most efficient, most rewarding order in which you have to complete the quests – directly on your screen.
With a Mage leveling guide you don’t have to think about the order of quests, follow ups or running the same way twice. This way you can finally focus on playing the game while you simple follow the step-by-step instructions of your guide.
The guide even knows which quests are unrewarding and consists only of the most efficient quests that reward you with the highest xp/hour rate.
If you have ever struggled with a quest, had to visit the same area, the same NPC, the same group of mobs again and again and are tired of this frustration, I highly recommend you to take a look at an in-game leveling guide as soon as you can.
After all, there's no reason to waste all of your time on boring leveling when you can enjoy the endgame content with your friends!
Mage Leveling Made Easy
Hi and welcome to this mage leveling guide. Do you want to know how to level your WoW mage faster and easier? Great! You've just found the right guide for you.
I know that leveling a character can be a pain. Especially if this is not your first toon and you already know Azeroth like the back of your hand. You know that you won't encounter anything new. Leveling becomes a job.
Let me help you to get it over with so you can explore the endgame content with your friends and guild mates again!
Here are my top tips for increasing your leveling speed:
First of all you should say ByeBye to grinding. Grinding is a thing of the past. The days of grinding are over. When World of Warcraft was released, grinding was a great way to gather massive amounts of experience, it was even faster than questing. But with all the expansions Blizzard has adjusted the experience mechanics. Questing now gives even more experience and is the most efficient way to level your character.
The second advice of my mage leveling guide is this one: Get a leveling talent build that really suits your playing style. I know that often we want to play with the most efficient build even if we don't like it. But how much time do you think you can save if you feel uncomfortable with the build and make a lot of mistakes?
If you like a smooth leveling experience, I recommend you to choose the Fire build. You might level a little bit slower than with a frost spec, but the Fire build doesn't require lots of concentration.
For the best xp/hour rate choose the Deep Frost talent spec. The Mage's AoE strategy is literally the fastest way to level your character and ding 80 as soon as possible.. Click here for a proven and effective Mage Frost build.
Stay away from grinding, choose the build that suits your playing style and you are good to go!
Fast Leveling? The Leveling Guide For Mages
Mages are one of the trickiest classes to level fast. Why is that? The talent trees differ very much from each other, so it's hard to choose one. If you should be leveling fire or frost depends widely on your preference as well as your current level.
In this fast leveling guide I will show you an easy leveling tactic for WoW mages.
The strategy is separated into 3 different stages:
Stage One – Fire
When you start out, you don’t have all the Frost talents to use an AoE strategy. To level fast in the beginning, you need as much raw DPS as possible. This way you can just focus on killing one mob after another and complete quests fast enought.
Fire deals a lot of damage in a short period of time, which is perfect for the first couple of quests and levels.
Stage Two – Frost
At the later levels you can transition into the Frost tree. The perfect moment to switch is when you have all the AoE spells and enough talent points to support them. For really fast WoW leveling, Frost is the way to go now!
Mages are push-overs if an attacker gets into their melee range. This is where frost really adds to your survivability. Ice Block and Frost Nova can be great life-and-time-savers.
Stage Three – Anything Goes
Once you get closer to the endgame, your mage will have all the great skills. At this point, every talent tree can be userd for fast leveling. Go with whatever you like, you earned it!
That's my quick 3-stage mage leveling strategy. The moment to re-spec your talent trees is sometimes hard to figure out, but by now you should "feel" when the time has come to re-spec.
You’ll slow down because of mana problems and handling tough mobs one by one. If you’re flexible and don’t cling to one tree all the time, fast leveling becomes easy.
Have fun! I know you'll hit level 80 soon!
The Mage Leveling Guide To Level Faster And Easier
If you are looking for a way to increase your leveling speed and get over the boring part of leveling with your WoW Mage, you have come to the right place. This mage leveling guide will show you how to level your mage 1-80 in a fast and easy way.
Your first step is to choose a race that is perfect for leveling a twink. Gnomes for example have more mana and “Escape artist”. This skill will help you to escape in situations when other races would be immobilized, die and have to walk back to their corpse.
The next thing you absolutely need is a good leveling spec. My mage leveling guide recommends you to aim for a Frost leveling spec. Frost mages have one great advantage: They are masters of AoE damage.
Frost mages can easily freeze whole groups of mobs in one tight spot and then start bombing them. Image the situation: You mount up and ride around to get lots of mobs to attack you. The next step is to ride around until the mobs all gather in one tight area. Now it's easy to freeze them all with your Frost Nova. Blink away and use Blizzard and Cone of Cold to kill of all the mobs at once!
You can kill up to 12-15 mobs every time. Frost is powerful and very effective leveling spec that my mage leveling guide recommends.
After choosing a race and talent spec you need the right gear. Either buy green items with intelligence and stamina at the auction house or visit instances. Of course, the better equipment waits for you in the instances – it's also one of the few ways to get gear with spell damage on it – but you need a level 80 friend to pull you through.
But those problems with your gear will vanish as soon as you enter the outland. There are a lot of great items with crit strike chance and a lot of spell damage.
That’s the mage leveling guide for beginners. Have lots of fun leveling your Frost Mage!
How To Level A Fire Mage – The Mage Leveling Guide
Before we dive in, let’s get one thing out of the way – the old Frost vs Fire debate. Which leveling spec is the best for you depends a lot on your unique playing style.
If focusing on a difficult but effective strategy if for you, then go for frost.
This mage leveling guide is for players that want to focus on the fire talent build.
Unsure which one you prefer? You can test them both and see which one works better for you, then stick to it.
With this out of the way, let’s dive into the talent build.
This is the order in which I recommend you to spend your talent points:
- 5 Points in Improved Fireball
- 5 Points in Ignite
- 1 Point in Pyroblast
- 3 Points in World in Flames
- 2 Points in Burning Determination
- 3 Points in Improved Scorch
- 3 Points in Master of Elements
- 3 Points in Critical Mass
- 5 Points in Fire Power
- 1 Point in Combustion
- 3 Points in Pyromaniac
- 1 Point in Blast Wave
- 2 Points in Molten Fury
- 3 Points in Empowered Fire
- 1 Point in Dragons Breath
- 3 Points in Hot Streak
- 1 Point in Firestarter
- 5 Points in Burnout
- 1 Point in Living Bomb
With the fire tree maxed out, invest in some more minor important fire talents and then get some Arcane to improve your crit chances.
- 3 Points in Incineration
- 1 Point in Fire Starter
- 2 Points in Arcane Subtlety
- 3 Points in Arcane Focus
- 5 Points in Arcane Concentration
- 3 Points in Spell Impact
- 3 Points in Student of the Mind
The fire mage is for players who like the straight-forward method more than complex strategies. It is a straight forward strategy that doesn't require much strategy.
Since a fire mage will not fight many mobs at the same time, he will get overwhelmed less often. This can indeed be helpful with mage leveling.
One more thing though:
Although you're a fire mage, you shoud still use Arcane or Frost spells in situations when it makes sense. I like to view spells as tools and if the opportunity arises, I often use Frost Nova on mobs or Blink away if I must.
For fast leveling I recommend the following strategy:
Mount up and pull 4-6 mobs then Frostnova them and get some distance with Blink. Then use all your AoE spells: Arcane Explosion, Blast Wave and Dragons Breath.
Mage Leveling – What’s The Easiest Way To Level Your WoW Mage 1 To 80?
You want to level your WoW mage to level 80 as fast as possible? Read this mage leveling guide to find out what really matters!
I will not talk about talent build, glyphs, gear or stats here… they don’t matter at all if you don’t know which is the fastest way to level. I'm talking about the difference between grouping, grinding and soloing. If you choose the wrong approach you will waste hours, regardless of how fine-tuned your talent build is.
The 4 Ways of Mage Leveling
First of all, I want to talk about grinding. Grinding will waste your time, period. “But many players are grinding. They’re saying that’s the fastest way to level!” you hear people saying? That's wrong.
In the past, grinding was a viable way to level your character, but those days are gone. And you should feel thankful for this. Killing the exact same mob thousands of times? I'll pass! Today, there are more efficient ways to ding 80.
Which leads me to “playing in a party and visiting instances”. You might have friends you want to level together with and that's great! But counting the numbers it’s not nearly as efficient as questing solo.
You can visit instances to loot the items and equip your mage, but while you’re in an instance you will complete relatively few quests and quests are the things that give you the most exp.
Don’t get me wrong – playing with your friends is great! Don't force trying to find a group because you think it might save you some time.
The third – and more effective – way is questing on your own without a mage leveling addon. Why do I emphasize “without an addon”? This is very important when it comes to leveling speed.
Questing is the most effective way to level 1-80, but with all the areas and quests, players often get confused. In the end they waste hours of their time stumbling through the world. It can be frustrating to invest your time and effort into completing a quest just to find out that it’s a junk-quest that hardly gives you any gold or experience.
The forth and – in my opinion – most efficient way to ding 80 is questing with an in-game mage leveling addon.
In case you haven't heard about in-game guides: They are addons that tell you what to do next. It’s like having a blueprint that guides you through the levels in the fastest possible way and makes mage leveling easy and fun.
Mage Grinding Guide – How To Kill A Dozen Mobs At Once
Grinding is a great way to farm gold, items and reputation. If you want to know, how to use your mage to grind as fast as possible, this mage grinding guide is the right place to start.
But first of all, I want to throw in one quick advice: Notice how I didn’t say that grinding is good for farming exp? The reason is that I do not recommend grinding to level 1-80. Questing is much better in that aspect.
However, if you want to level your mage by grinding, my mage grinding guide shows you the best and fastest way to do it
Mage Grinding Talent Build: The Frost Spec
There are two ways to grind – one way is killing one mob after another. And there's a better way: Kill off 10+ mobs at once!
Sounds interesting? Then I suggest you to get a frost talent spec as soon as possible. It’s the one and only mage build to take on hordes of mobs simultaneous.
Frost specs focus entirely on freezing mobs, AoE spells and survivability. Make sure to aim for a deep frost build (0/0/71) to get all the great talents.
And then you will want to support your abilities with the best Glyphs!
The next step is to look at the grinding strategy itself: Grinding with the frost build is all about using AoE spells like Frost Nova, Blizzard and Cone of Cold to kill as many mobs simultaneous as possible.
You have to pull them, gather them on one spot and hit them all at once with the power of your spells.
This way will will be able to farm gold, reputation and items much faster. If you want to get to level 80 ASAP, questing is much faster and much more fun.
But of course there's a trick - use the tactic from this mage grinding guide on quest mobs to complete every quest in no time!
I hope you enjoyed my mage grinding guide – Have fun farming!
Major Glyphs For Leveling A Fire Mage
You want to become a powerful mage and dominate raids as well as battlefields? Then choose the following Glyphs to fully optimize your mage.
Blizzard gave us a lot of additional options to tune and wteak our characters with Glyphs. I’ll make it easy for you.
Also, we’re just going to look at the Major Glyphs because they’re the ones that carry all the power.
Oh, and one more thing...
If you didn't hit 80 with your mage yet, this choice will give you a slight boost for your mage leveling.
First of all, let me recap the Glyphes that are good for fire mages and then I'll tell you when to pick which one.
Sounds great?
Fireball – Level 15 – Major Glyph
Increases the critical strike chance of Fireball by 5%, but removes the damage over time effect.
Scorch – Level 20 – Major Glyph
Increases the damage of your Scorch spell by 20%
Living Bomb – Level 60 – Major Glyph
The periodic damage from your Living Bomb can now be critical strikes.
Molten Armor – Level 62 – Major Glyph
Your Molten Armor spell grants an additional 20% of your spirit as critical strike rating.
The order in which to get them:
At level 15, grab Fireball. It's the most effective Glyphs at this level and Fireball is one of your major spells. Fireball is the way to go and use it often.
At level 30, grab Scorch.
And one more thing: If you want more in-depth analysis and reasoning, read a mage guide. This list is only a quick overview if you want to increase your DPS.
Now you're well prepared to level straight to level 60. You'll get some additional great major glyphs and you can switch your old ones. I suggest you grab Molten Armor now.
Why?
Because it affects your overall crit ratio, not just one single spell. So, Molten Armor it is.
You can also grab Living Bomb, it's a great Glyph, but you might as well leave it at that. You're already a damage dealing monster and can devastate the battlegrounds and nuke other players.
To speed things up, grab a solid mage leveling guide. As soon as you hit level 80 you can join an areana team and start collecting the PvP gear. Nox, this is where the real fun starts for a fire mage!
Fast Leveling Made Easy – With Grouping, Soloing or Grinding?
Knowing the secret of fast leveling can help you to level your WoW character from 1-80 in less than 7 days. Do you want to get to level 80 in less than 7 /played days? Then read on…
World of Warcraft gives you many options to gather experience. One could think that this would make it easy to get to level 80, but in fact, the opposite is true.
With all these options, inexperienced players waste their time switching from one playing style to another constantly.
I want to help you by analyzing ways that peope use for fast leveling - and show you how efficient they are.
Grinding: In a nutshell, grinding is all about searching for spot where lots of mobs spawn close to each other. Then you just kill the same kind of mob again and again… sound fun right?
Well, many players consider grinding the best way to level. In the past, that worked well. But things have changed and Blizzard has adjusted the game mechanics. Today, questing gives you more experience than grinding. If you aren’t farming for items, reputation or gold, grinding is a waste of time.
Group Play: Another large group of players like to stick together in groups and quest together or visit instances of their level. In my opinion, visiting instances is a great way to get some nice gear, but I wouldn’t consider it fast leveling.
When visiting instances, you don't do many quests per hour - therefore you usually get less experience.
Soloing with an in-game guide: Now here's another way to level 1-80. And that is questing solo, following the perfect questing path given by an in-game leveling add-on. But there's a huge difference between soloing with and without such an addon.
World of Warcraft is full of quests and areas. You have to decide between different options all the time. Because there are so many choices, inexperienced players stumble back and forth, searching for the best area to quest in.
But there's more... Blizzard implemented quests that intentionally slow you down. Those junk-quests cost you time and effort, but you gain basically no exp or gold from them.
But with an in-game leveling guide, you are really prepared for fast leveling! It does all the thinking for you and leads you through the perfect questing path.
